The Ultrasonic Distance Sensor (JBU)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

I am an engineering student in John Brown University. This is the final project from the Embedded System class.

I chose to make the ultrasonic distance sensor with the MSP430G2553. The main difference with the other ultrasonic distance sensor is that I am using just a part which transmit or receive ultrasound. Therefore, I made a circuit to operate these transducer. If the user presses the button in the microprocessor, the transmitting transducer generates ultrasound and the receiving transducer gets the ultrasound. Then, the receiving transducer makes the signals. This signal is pretty weak so I used an inverting amplifier and envelope detector to analyze the signals.
